Product Description

Sermons On The 23rd Psalm “Sheep are mentioned 176 times, lambs 164 times, and shepherds 80 times in Scripture. No mention of the Shepherd-sheep metaphor is so well-known as Psalm 23. Though three millennia have passed since the sweet singer of Israel first sang about the shepherd care of God, this psalm still lends itself today to profound truths and invaluable lessons. Shepherding practices in Biblical times underscore that this psalm poignantly describes the unchanging spiritual life of communion between the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ, and His flock, the living church of God” Author Joel R. Beeke (Ph.D. Westminster Theological Seminary) is president and professor of systematic theology and homiletics at Puritan Reformed Theological Serminary, pastor of the Heritage Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Grand Rapids, Michigan, editor of The Banner of Sovereign Grace Truth, and author of numerous books. Endorsements “Dr. Joel Beeke combines outstanding intellectual gifts and wide learning with a deep passion for Christ and His people. The reappearing of his early work, Jehovah Shepherding His Sheep, will be warmly welcomed by the ever-increasing number of Christians who have come to appreciate his ministry.” - Sinclair B. Ferguson
