It tells the story of how God worked in the heart of a young man in Rochdale, separated him from the world, and called him to be a preacher of the gospel. He became one of the first members at Hope Chapel Rochdale when it was opened in 1810, and later he was to be the much loved pastor at Hope Chapel for over 50 years.
