Product Description

The importance of waiting on God cannot be over-emphasized. In a world marked by frenetic activity, Andrew Murray shows that this unspectacular work opens the door to God's power in any situation. When our instinct calls us to work, it is often more important to wait-that is, to look to God to come into the situation-and then to work in His power. "All that the Church and its members need for the manifestation of the mighty power of God in the world is the return to our true place, the place of absolute and unceasing dependence upon God. Let us strive to see what the elements are that make up this most blessed and needful waiting upon God. It may help us to discover the reasons why this grace is so little cultivated, and to feel how infinitely desirable it is that the Church, that we ourselves, should at any price learn its blessed secret." - ANDREW MURRAY ANDREW MURRAY (1828-1917) was born in South Africa where he served God as a pastor and evangelist. His devotional writing brought him world-wide renown and he became much in demand as a Bible teacher and conference speaker. Author of numerous books, his other titles include The True Vine, Absolute Surrender, The Full Blessing of Pentecost and Humility.
